A letter to DHSC membership
The Executive Board of the DHSC has been diligently working to improve
soccer in Dearborn Heights. Presently DHSC has a new field at Van
Houghton Park that should be available for use in the fall. To add to
that list DHSC has also five new fields under construction at the
Warren-Dale location next to the Hype facility. If all goes well those
fields may also be ready in the fall of 2012. DHSC is also excited to
introduce and include an affiliation with the Vardar Soccer Academy for
our Select and Premier Program. This affiliation will bring a high
level of training, camps, and coaching resources to DHSC. These
resources will be utilized to directly enhance the pee wee and Rec
programs by offering coach's training and player development programs.
DHSC is also working with The Hype to add indoor soccer facilities and
additional training programs to compliment the DHSC program. The Hype
program shall offer off season training, camps, and futsal. DHSC shall
be able to offer a year round program for all members with the highest
quality training. Much has been done, much more is still to do. The
DHSC board encourages all members to take part in the future by
volunteering. Together we are Dearborn Heights Soccer Club. Thank you
for your interest and good ball.
Respectfully
Scott Maroncelli
DHSC president

“Vardar and Dearborn Heights Soccer Club join forces.”
Dearborn Heights, MI ~ March 21, 2012 –
The Vardar Soccer Club and the Dearborn Heights Soccer Club have
officially agreed to form an affiliation. The Vardar Soccer Club, one of
the most recognized clubs in the United States, will join forces with
the Dearborn Heights Soccer Club Premier and Select programs to bring a
“top level” Select and Premier program to the community. Many -
residents in Dearborn Heights and the surrounding communities have been
waiting for this. Many have been forced to leave the area to find a
higher level program suitable for their kids development. This
affiliation will now allow people to experience a top notch club without
having to travel outside of their community for training.
Vardar South will oversee the
relationship known as Vardar South – Dearborn Heights. Vardar South will
continue its efforts to expand its Livonia group. Vardar South – Livonia
has grown by more than 100% in the past year. All Livonia teams will
continue to train and play its home games in Livonia. Vardar South –
Dearborn Heights will fill a huge void for the players in Dearborn
Heights.
However, this will not only
benefit children from Dearborn Heights. The “Vardar experience” will now
be much more feasible for kids of the surrounding communities. “I
believe there is a “World Class” athlete in every community we just have
to find him or her” said Dennis Brose, Director of Coaching for the
Vardar Soccer Club. “We will have the best facilities in a 20 mile
radius. This will help us to carry out our main focus which is
development. These kids need to be given the tools and ideas
that will create an internal motivator. Once a child is motivated there
is no stopping them.” The President of the Dearborn Heights Soccer Club,
Scott Maroncelli said “This is going to be a very positive experience
and affiliation for our club. Our Peewee and Recreational program will
benefit from Vardar trainers, camps and the free Friday night training
sessions that will be provided by Vardar to the Peewee and Recreational
teams”.
The program will be a year round
affordable program which will include a fall season, winter training,
games and a spring season. The cost is very affordable to high level
programs outside the local area. The fee structures includes,
professional licensed coach, tournaments, team camps, just to name a
few. The club will hold tryouts the weekend of June 16th & 17th
in the City of Dearborn Heights. Further tryout details will be
available in the Michigan tryout magazine as well as on our websites,
www.vardarsouth.com
and
www.dhsoccer.com
as we get closer.
To kick off the relationship Vardar will be running a camp in Dearborn
Heights during the week of spring break. This camp is open to players of
all ages and to all of the surrounding communities. For more information
please check
www.dhsoccer.com or
call (734) 262-0071. The camp will run from April 9th – April 13th from
9:30am – 12 noon at (Please enter location and address here. The cost is
$79 per player.

Congrats to the U12 boys Mustangs for
representing DHSC well at the Waza Friendlies this weekend. The U12
Mustangs with assistance from two U11 Mustangs players were able to win
all 4 of their games this weekend.

The Dearborn Heights Soccer
Club U12 Mustangs, with participation from U11 Mustang players
participated in the Motor City Indoor Soccer Challenge. They finished 2
-1 in the standings which earned them a spot in the Championship game.
They mounted a great comeback with under 10 minutes left to rally from a
4-1 deficit and tying the game with seconds left to play. They fell a
little short in the penalty kick shootout phase and lost the game on
penalty kicks 5 - 6 to finish as tournament runner ups.

Congratulation .. goes out
to our own Dearborn Heights U8 Mustangs Boys for their sweeping win in
their select division this fall season with an impressive 8-0 record.
Coach Bazzi and his assistant coach Chahrour must be very proud of them all. Way to go.

The first place Dearborn Heights Ravens would like to wish
everyone a happy Cinco De Mayo. Bueno Bolla!

Attention All,
We ask from all of the Coaches,
Players and Parents to stay off the fields at Warrendale
as the construction project is under way. As always at DHSC the safety of our Players, Coaches and everyone else
connected to the club is the most important factor to us. There are other
fields for practices that we are permitted by the city as the club to
play on. Just check the field table in the upper left corner for
availability. if you have any questions or
concerns, please email us and let us know how can we help in any way.

Volunteers
Needed
The Dearborn Heights Soccer Club is a
volunteer club and this is how we afford to provide soccer to the
community at a low cost. Without the assistance from volunteers the
cost of playing soccer in Dearborn Heights would be impacted as we would
have to contract out any work if we do not have volunteers to help the
club succeed. Please click the link below to help support DHSC.

REFEREES
Referees
are always welcome and needed. If you get certified by USSF and
provide a receipt for your class plus referee 5 games for DHSC, the club
will reimburse you the $50 fee.
